About Us

The Woolwich Trails Group promotes hiking and biking in the Township for the purpose of transportation and recreation. The Group works with the Region and the Township to incorporate trails into the planning process, and spearheaded the local "Adopt-A-Road" initiative to encourage local groups, organizations and businesses to take responsibility for the beautification of road sections.

Woolwich Township boasts 11 public trails totalling almost 80 kilometres (see a map). Trail uses in the Township include walking, running, cycling, cross country skiing and snowmobiling as designated.

You are invited to discover our local pathways and those in the surrounding areas by participating in hikes that are hosted by this group. For a schedule of planned hikes please click here.

The group also distributes the Guidebook to Woolwich Trails with maps and descriptions of all the local trails. For information on where you can obtain a copy of this guide, please click here.
